Supporting fun and inclusion at the Frome Children’s Festival
We were delighted to support this year’s Frome Children’s Festival, organised by Purple Elephant, a local charity that provides vital support services for children and families.
At Whatley quarry, we’re committed to supporting initiatives that develop education, skills and wellbeing. The Frome Children’s Festival is a free to attend event that aims to support social inclusion and integration, and to develop a strong and supportive town-wide community.
Our contribution helped make the festival more accessible, ensuring that the 2,500 attendees could enjoy more than 30 free activities, such as arts and crafts, wood whittling, biking, theatre shows and a fairy trail.
Sue Willis, Founder and Service Manager, said: “Our aim is for the festival to be as accessible as possible, both financially and for those who need support, especially people with additional needs and disabilities.”
Vincent Pitt, Area Manager, added: “It’s great to see a local event that brings families together. We’re proud to support it and help make the day enjoyable and inclusive for all.”
