At our community liaison group meetings, we share the findings of our regular HGV speed monitoring on the access routes to Batts Combe quarry.
We have strict protocols in place for employed, franchisee and haulier drivers, including the voluntary requirement to drive to 15mph or less on the access roads – Warrens Hill, Venn’s Gate and Hannay Road. Speed monitoring helps to ensure drivers adhere to these protocols, with a consistent approach to driver sanctions also in place.
